A fun ride on the New Forest Open Top Bus

It was a lovely day in late August so we thought that we'd go for a trip on the Open Top Bus and stop for lunch at The George in Lyndhurst - it's a hard life but somebody's got to do it :)

There are three Open Top bus routes in The New Forest. We went on the Red Route, in the North of the Forest

The route goes through Lyndhurst, Burley, Ringwood and Fordingbridge. We passed the Maize Maze. Here you can pick your own sunflowers (see the sunflower fields in the video below) and get lost in the maze ...

We stopped for lunch in Fordingbridge

We went to The George, a very well run gastro pub, right on the River Avon

Then it was back on the bus (a different bus but the same Red Route), for the remainder of the trip

Places to stay in The New Forest:

The Pig

Rhinefield House

Carey's Manor

The Balmer Lawn

The Forest Park

The Montague Arms

The Thatched Cottage

The Master Builder's House
